- Summary
-
-- Amazon
- The only thing I was tired of was giving up. On December 1, 1955, Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to a white man on a segregated bus, prompting the Montgomery, Alabama, bus boycott. A year later, when it finally ended, bus segregation was declared unconstitutional, the civil rights movement became a national cause, and Rosa Parks lost her job. But there is much more to this story that we do not know, and that goes beyond an act of disobedience. Using simple and poignant language, Rosa Parks recounts her crucial role in the fight for American equality. Her dedication was inspiring; her fight, unforgettable. - Amazon
