No obstante, a ella le debemos la fascinación por lo oriental que surgió a partir del siglo XVIII gracias a estudiosos como Antoine Galland, el autor de la primera traducción al francés, o exploradores como Richard Francis Burton, que la tradujo al inglés respetando el alto contenido erótico de la obraThe Thousand and One Nights is a compilation of stories inspired by oral tradition, the relevance of which was curiously marginal within the context of medieval Arabic literature. However, we owe her the fascination with the oriental that emerged from the 18th century thanks to scholars such as Antoine Galland, the author of the first French translation, or explorers such as Richard Francis Burton, who translated it into English respecting the high erotic content of the work
