This hand-drawn plan (lithograph) measures 73 x 66 cm. It is matted with a cream colored matte and has a label at one corner that reads "Lawrence Duck Co. (Cotton Mills) Lawrence, Mass. surveyed June 1894[; ] scale of plan 1 in. = 40 ft." The drawing is in color and is rich with detail. Both a three dimensional and a flat map plan are shown. A notation on the bottom right corner of the plan says that it is drawn from "careful tape-line measurements." outside properties were located by pacing. Pipes were often drawn out of their exact location. Distortion of scale may have occurred during the lithograph process. Diagrams of just what was being done on each floor were draw on the sides. "Cancelled" was stamped in the lower right hand corner. It is labeled plan serial no. 3293
