Summary
A psychiatric patient is convinced he was once the assassin of Tsar Alexander in 1881 and Tsar Nicholas II and his family in 1918. The patient is brought to the scene of the latter assassination by his doctor in an attempt to resolve the delusion. The viewer is given the opportunity to decide for him- or herself what is memory and what is fantasy. Excluding McDowell, the cast is Russian
