- This collection includes 14 photographs and some records. The 1920s era images are reproductions in black and white and the contemporary images are in color. All prints are 11x14 inches
- Biographical or historical data
- Plans were made, money was donated by the Rosman Family Fund, and Elevated Thought was chosen as the company to take and print the photos. The idea of the exhibit was to take 13 photographs taken around the City of Lawrence in the early 1920s and ask a contemporary photographer to use the locations (stated by number in a word file) to make photographs in the same place and the same view - today. The exhibit would put the views right next to each other at 11x14 size prints. They would be framed in frames the library owns and matted white. A larger print on the wall would show the Parker Manor of 1920 and the present Lawrence Public Library building. The exhibit was planned for spring of 2019, but repeated contact with Elevated Thought produced no images or prints. At the end of the summer the Library got 14 prints. Eight of them were quite satisfactory. The other six had images that were not the same views as the earlier photos. In one case the northwest corner of Broadway and Lowell Street was the contemporary image, but the 1920s image was the northeast corner. The archivist never got a response from Elevated Thought and the idea of the exhibit was never realized.
