Hand written and illustrated books. There are five leather-bound volumes in this collection. Each is 53 cm high and 35 cm wide. The thickness of each varies. Each one is inscribed in gold on the cover. 1. Jubilee Work of the Pupils of the Primary Grades St. Mary's Lawrence 1890. 2. Jubilee Work of the Pupils of the Middle Grades St. Mary's Lawrence 1890. 3. Jubilee Work of the Pupils of the Eighth and Seventh Grades St. Mary's Lawrence 1890. 4. Jubilee Work of the Pupils of the Ninth Grade St. Mary's Lawrence 1890. 5. Jubilee Work of the Pupils of High School St. Mary's Lawrence 1890The first volume covers the second through the fourth grades. The pages inside include Christian doctrine and grammar, arithmetic, and drawing for all three grades. It appears the writing and illustrations would have been done by the teachers. The second volume covers the fifth and sixth grades. History has been added to the curriculum. The third volume again covers Christian doctrine and grammar, arithmetic, history, and drawing. The fourth volume is more complex. Much of the lustrations and writing appear to be done by students. At the very beginning There is a page that reads: "Taken from the City Atlas of Lawrence Massachusetts by Nellie Tobin. It is followed by a hand-drawn map of the Lawrence. Besides the earlier curriculm, there is now a section called Composition, which includes short compositions by students that are signed. Specifically new subjects include United State History, Science, and Book keeping. Finally in the fifth volume the title page is signed by Mary Lenane. There are many illustrations that are signed by the pupils. There are lists of prize winners and honors awardees. New chapters include Our Foes, School keeps, Astronomy, History, Literature, Language, Arithmetic, Algebra, Members, and the House of the Sisters of Notre Dame. Final two pages read " Ad majorem Dei Gloria" and "Te Deum"
