There are ten 12 x 6.5. x 4.5 inch boxes filled with index cards. The material came in two boxes without order. The cards were put into the boxes in alphabetical order by street name. The cards are printed with certain categories: street name, number and corner; owner or petitioner; front; cost; assessment; date of assessment; by petition - date; by order - date of hearing; contractor; repairs - top coating (contractor, date); and repairs - new work (contractor, date). Each card is filled in to a greater or lesser degree. The first part is mostly typed and the later part, when it is added is usually by hand. The cards were printed by Yawman & Erbe Mfg. Co., Rochester & Boston. The purpose of the cards appears to be keeping track of what repairs were made to the properties
