Scrapbook containing clippings, programs, and announcements relating to the association and the early history of the City of Lawrence; Old Residents' manual (1880), including meetings, officers, by-laws, and songs and hymns used at monthly meetings; and hand written double page of lined paper listing names of members who died in 1878, pasted into a book with alphabetical tags (not used)., First clipping in scrapbook relates to 25th anniversary of incorporation of Lawrence in 1872. Newspapers represented include the Lawrence American, Essex Eagle, Lawrence Daily Eagle, and the Sentinel. Topics in the scrapbook chiefly relate to association events, but also include other subjects such as a fair (1872) of the Grand Army of the Republic, new church bells for St. Mary's (1874), and election results (1875)
