Summary
includes both nine school registers ranging from 1911 to 1958 and two arithmetic textbooks. The school registers are printed by the State of Massachusetts for use in all public schools. Below the title School Register is the subtitle Summary of the School Year. The information provided includes name of school, dates of the school year, length of school year, grade (except for 1911/1912), number of pupils divided by age and sex who were enrolled, attendance data, teachers' names and training, directions, enrolment list (name, date of enrolment, date of birth, age at time of enrolment, residence, and remarks), supplementary list (pupils previously enrolled that year in another school), attendance, visits to the school, and a duplicate summary. Some of the later registers (after 1912) did not have visits to the school and a duplicate summary. Folder 8 (1932/33 grade 1 Leahy School) had an inserted page with the results of the Pintner-Cunningham Primary Mental Test. The date the test took place was Dec. 6, 1932, the examiner was Miss Greenwood and the information on each child included age, score, MA (?), and IQ. The children are listed with highest score at the top. The earlier registers came from the Amesbury Street School and the later ones from the Leahy School. The first of the two textbooks was printed by the Lawrence Public Schools
