This collection is the compilation of Ms. Beland's years as White Fund and Lawrence Public Library trustee. It is solely concerned with her role as White Fund trustee. The original file names and order were kept. There is a letter and packet to Thomas F. Caffrey, also a trustee of the White Fund; the letter is from Ken Skulski and the Immigrant City Archives (now the Lawrence History Center). The packet includes: a 1999 report, written by Ken Skulski, to the White Fund concerning Rev. William E. Wolcott and his 1894 speech on public parks, copy of an Evening Tribune article dated Feb. 26, 1894, covering Wolcott's speech, and copies of handwritten manuscripts of Wolcott's. There is also a memo from Betty to Tom dated Sept. 8, 1999 including White Fund articles of incorporation, by-laws, waiver of notice of first incorporated meeting, first meeting of incorporation, minutes 5/26/82, and meeting of trustees 6/4/82. Also an amended copy (typescript) of the will, a copy of the handwritten copy of the will, multiple copies (typescript) of the will, and finally a list of assets from the Josephine G.
