Summary

Abandoning her life of popularity and high achievement to follow a magnetic stranger, a teenage girl embarks on an initially intoxicating journey of enlightenment that illuminates the cult-like qualities of suburbiaAlice Lange: high-achieving student, cheerleader, and all-around good citizen. The night before she's expected to be crowned Homecoming Queen, though, she commits an act of vandalism, then disappears, following a magnetic stranger named Wesley to a bungalow in another part of the state.
