Biographical or historical data
The Sons of Italy Lawrence Lodge No. 902 Community Center Trust was founded April 11, 1969. The president was Santo S. Nicolosi, VP was John Tombarello, secretary was Samuel D'Urso, and Treasurer William Licata. The goal was to replace the home of the lodge at 113 Haverhill Street to a new building that would also serve as a community and youth center. The site for the building was at 155 Marston Street; the architect selected was Peter Samaris. It was officially opened in 1972 in time for the lodge's 34th annual Columbus Day Dinner Dance. The lodge relocated at 459 Merrimack Street, Methuen, Massachusetts February 20, 2014. Commonwealth Motors purchased the Marston Street property and tore the building down.
