Chiefly orders presented to the Board of Aldermen and voted on by the same. On one side is the order (disbursements, employment, reassessment of responsibility of departments, abatements, work orders, and a variety of other city government related matters). On the reverse are the points of order: dates, motion of and seconded, the votes of the individual aldermen and typed name and signature of the City Clerk attesting to the veracity of the order. There are also occasional letters from various city departments. In particular there are many letters from Lawrence Municipal Airport asking for funds
