Label attached on one end reads: “From the ruins of the Pemberton Mill, Lawrence Jan 12, 1860.” The artifact is a cylinder of iron with coating of brass on the length. There are prongs on either end with a slight depression on each. Two circular holes are also located at the ends. It has not been determined what the piece of metal was used for at the Pemberton Mill
