Two scrapbooks and ephemera collected by Garside and his family during his time as a prisoner of war, reflecting the ups and downs at home while relatives waited for news of their young men who were so far away; together with panorama photographs of other parts of the family's life: the British Club (of which his father was a member) and the CCC 107 Company in North Adams, Mass.; and a photograph of the Knights of St. Patrick, Lawrence, Mass., of which Garside was a member., Includes photographs of Garside and other prisoners; letters written by Garside forwarded through the Red Cross; letter from the U.S. Dept. of the Army relating to his receipt of the Bronze Star; and pictorial review of the 25th anniversary pilgrimage to Corregidor and the Phillipines taken by Garside in 1967
