Summary
"13 Flowers of Nanjing" is adapted by Zhang Yimou to the movie "The Flowers of War" which was nominated for the Golden Globe 2012 in the Best Foreign Language Film category. Nanjing, also known as "Jinling", was the capital of China in 1937. It's a revered city. And the Imperial Japanese army mutilated the people and the city in December 1937. Nanjingers were brutally raped, murdered, violated, massacred. and on December 13 of 1937, the day after Nanjing was taken by the Japanese, the beautiful young women of Jinling began their lives that are at once humiliation, bravery, sacrifice, spiteful and heroic.
