Papers chiefly relating to Raymond Louis Essick documenting his life and his family's life from his first years of employment in the 1930s until his death in 1999, chiefly concerning his years in the military during World War II and his career with the U.S. Postal Service (formerly the U.S. Post Office Dept.), in both Lawrence and Methuen, Mass., Includes family papers relating to daily life, home buying, legal papers of various family members, rent books, baptismal records, passports, rosters of a local association relating to twins, postcards, and family photos. Materials of Raymond Essick include some records of employment before the army; materials relating to the McIntosh School, a business school in Lawrence; photograph of a guitar/banjo group; organization membership cards; service with 69th Infantry Division including a scrapbook documenting Essick's days at Fort Devens, Mass.; and materials concerning Essick's post office assignments, including materials relating to the United Federation of Postal Clerks, stamp posters; and information concerning his activities in processing the Alien Registration Act of 1940.
