Three scrapbooks. Vol. 1 (scanned into 175 images) documents the roll of the Lawrence postal service in promoting the Third World War II loan drive from Sept.-Oct. of 1943 and includes letters from various postal service offices and copies of letters of appreciation as well as newspaper clippings, photographs, radio script, list of ten most successful carriers and amounts raised, and other materials. Vol. II (scanned into 118 images) documents air mail week in Lawrence in May 1938 and includes photographs, newspaper clippings, cartoons, schedule of events, letters from the U.S. Postal Service, radio program script, correspondence, airmail postage, and list of flights during the week. Vol. III (scanned into 29 images) reflects Cronin's experiences during World War I and contains letters, photographs, business cards, and an official brevet from the French Ministry of War appointing Cronin a second lieutenant July 1, 1918
